Role Summary:
The Project Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects, with a strong focus on gender-responsive programming. The role requires effective coordination, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with organizational and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
– Coordinate implementation of project activities in line with approved plans and timelines
– Integrate gender considerations into all project activities and reporting
– Engage with communities, partners, and stakeholders to ensure inclusive participation
– Monitor project progress and prepare timely reports
– Maintain accurate documentation of activities, outputs, and outcomes
– Support budget tracking and resource allocation
– Identify risks and escalate issues where necessary
– Organize meetings, trainings, and stakeholder engagements
– Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies

Knowledge & Expertise:
– Strong understanding of gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) principles
– Knowledge of gender mainstreaming in project design and implementation
– Familiarity with safeguarding policies and ethical standards in NGO work
– Understanding of donor compliance and reporting frameworks (e.g., UN, USAID, or similar)
– Knowledge of community engagement approaches and participatory methods
– Awareness of local development challenges and cultural dynamics
Experience:
– Proven experience in project coordination within an NGO or development environment
– Demonstrated experience working on gender-focused or inclusive programs
– Experience engaging with donors, partners, and community stakeholders
– Strong background in project monitoring and reporting
Qualifications:
– Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or related field
