We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join a reputable pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, supporting inventory control, and ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting within a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Maintain accurate daily financial records and bookkeeping.
– Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
– Reconcile cash, bank, and mobile money transactions.
– Monitor income, expenses, and profit margins.
– Manage accounts payable and receivable.
– Support inventory tracking, stock valuation, and stock takes.
– Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
– Assist with budgeting, audits, and financial analysis.
– Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Education & Requirements
– Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA/ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
– 2–5 years of accounting experience (pharmacy, retail, or healthcare experience preferred).
– Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
– Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
– Experience with inventory or stock management systems is an advantage.
– High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
– Strong analytical and organizational skills.
