Job description
Crane operators’ applicants should be able to control lifting machinery using buttons, levers, and pedals. They must be able to attach loads to hoists and cranes and safely remove them. Occasionally, they will set up and repair equipment.
They will be responsible for operating various types of cranes, from stationary to traveling overhead cranes, and truck cranes. Their responsibilities should include knowledge of lever and pedal control, driving cranes to the worksite, setting up the manufacturer’s operator’s manual, inspecting the crane for safety daily, and operating the crane under general supervision. They should be able to lift and lower materials with precision and transport equipment of minimum 100T to worksites.

• Understanding and executing the job billing process
• Driving the crane to a worksite
• Wearing PPT safety equipment
• Cleaning and maintaining the crane hoisting mechanism
• Using lever and pedal controls efficiently
• Setting up the manufacturer’s operator manual
• Keep and update maintenance and activity log
• Set up machinery based on complex manuals
• Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols
• Should set and maintain a standard of accuracy, be able to work in extreme weather conditions.

Qualifications and Skills
• Must at least have a high school diploma
• Must have a minimum work experience of 5 Years operating cranes of minimum capacity of 100T
• Must have a commercial driver’s license
• Must be able to operate the crane according to verbal, written or signal instruction
• Decision-making Skills: Must be good judges who are able to determine the appropriate sequence for an operation
• Physical Dexterity: Must be able to simultaneously control an array of levers and pedals to lift, move, and reposition materials as required
• Stamina: operators must be able to withstand equipment vibration and long hours of sitting
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
• Observation skills
