Connect Space has a fee they charge which is paid by the future employer. This is already a setup agreement between us and the company that is looking to hire you and not affecting your salary offer.

Q: Does that mean the candidate earns less money when placed by us?

No, it means the clients pay the recruitment agency the fee directly. It is not taken out of the new employee’s salary. However, it also means clients don’t have to pay the fee until the consultant gives them a successful candidate.

We will then contact you if your skills and experience meet the requirements of an open position or match what our clients typically look for. You can also upload your resume and we will get in touch if you are a good match for any open positions. We receive new job requests constantly, so continue to check back frequently and apply to those that match your background, credentials, and interests.

Q: Why don’t we show company names on our job ads/posts?

Candidates familiar with recruitment agency job ads may have noticed that they commonly leave out the name of the company. There are a number of reasons behind this. Sometimes this is a client-driven decision because they haven’t communicated internally that they’re hiring yet, or we may have been asked to work in the background discreetly.

The other reason behind it is to exclude bias on the candidate’s side and to capture a wider audience. As a candidate, you will more than likely have your own opinions about companies or industries, and seeing that information on a job spec could turn you off before you even look at the role. Leaving out the company’s names can help you focus on the role itself.

Q: What happens to my data as a candidate?

At Connect Space, we treat our candidates’ data with respect. When we put a candidate into the system, we get permission from them to share it with clients and we keep the candidate informed at all stages. 

Connect Space DOES NOT blindly send resumes to several clients without initially touching base with candidates and talking to them first.

Q: Do I have to take a skills assessment?

Connect Space offers an online candidate skills evaluation to help determine a candidate’s proficiencies and skills related to specific applications and assignment tasks. Your investment in this short assessment provides you with insights into the work culture and environment you perform best — and allows us to focus on finding the best available opportunity for you.
