A leading mining company is seeking an experienced UG/Rig Electrician to join their dynamic team. If you have expertise in high-voltage electrical systems (550V – 1000V) and a solid background in industrial electrical work, we want to hear from you!
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Perform modifications on electrical equipment based on technical specifications.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain an organized, hazard-free workspace.
- Efficiently execute tasks under supervision and contribute to overall team success.
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements:
- Electrical Trade Certificate (FTC/IMTT/VETA).
- Certification to work with high-voltage systems (550V – 1000V).
- Form IV/VI academic certificate.
- Valid light vehicle driving license (preferred for off-site tasks).
💡 Experience & Skills:
- 5-10 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Experience in mining or process plant environments (advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, and maintenance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Familiarity with Mine Health & Safety Act, hazard identification, and risk assessment protocols.
🌍 Work Environment:
- Location: Underground and Surface Mine Sites.
- Some travel required for off-site maintenance.
