Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance with company standards
• Attend to customer enquiries and responsible for customer engagement
• Assist the Regional General Manager with business development and maintenance of existing business/clients
• Oversee the onboarding of new customers, ensuring business is carried out in exact terms as agreed with the
client
• Maintain and monitor debtors and ensuring adequate and timeous vessel funding
• Ensure that all operational staff are compliant with all Health, Safety & Environment requirements, including
provision and monitoring of PPE and ensure that operations are carried out in a safe and responsible manner
• Fair allocation of vessels and management of workflows per operator
• Manage all port / terminal inductions for all staff
• Continually seek opportunities for improvements and business growth
• Lead and motivate employees – encouraging a culture and environment of teamwork, and high staff morale

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Business Degree or similar qualification. A Masters Degree is a PLUS
Minimum of 5 years solid shipping agency experience
• 3 years’ managerial experience with evidence of leadership and customer relationship management
