They must be able to attach loads to hoists and cranes and safely remove them. Occasionally, they will set up and repair equipment.<br>They will be responsible for operating various types of cranes, from stationary to traveling overhead cranes, and truck cranes. Their responsibilities should include knowledge of lever and pedal control, driving cranes to the worksite, setting up the manufacturer\u2019s operator\u2019s manual, inspecting the crane for safety daily, and operating the crane under general supervision. They should be able to lift and lower materials with precision and transport equipment of minimum 100T to worksites.<br>\u2022 Operating the crane under supervision<br>\u2022 Bind loads to cranes<br>\u2022 Inspecting the crane to ensure its safety<br>\u2022 Performing routine maintenance<br>\u2022 Carrying tools for running repairs<br>\u2022 Understanding and executing the job billing process<br>\u2022 Driving the crane to a worksite<br>\u2022 Wearing PPT safety equipment<br>\u2022 Cleaning and maintaining the crane hoisting mechanism<br>\u2022 Using lever and pedal controls efficiently<br>\u2022 Setting up the manufacturer\u2019s operator manual<br>\u2022 Keep and update maintenance and activity log <br>\u2022 Set up machinery based on complex manuals<br>\u2022 Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals <br>\u2022 Follow safety guidelines and protocols <br>\u2022 Should set and maintain a standard of accuracy, be able to work in extreme weather conditions.<br><br><strong>Qualifications and Skills<\/strong><br>\u2022 Must at least have a high school diploma<br>\u2022 Must have a minimum work experience of 5 Years operating cranes of minimum capacity of 100T<br>\u2022 Must have a commercial driver\u2019s license<br>\u2022 Must be able to operate the crane according to verbal, written or signal instruction<br>\u2022 Decision-making Skills: Must be good judges who are able to determine the appropriate sequence for an operation<br>\u2022 Physical Dexterity: Must be able to simultaneously control an array of levers and pedals to lift, move, and reposition materials as required<br>\u2022 Stamina: operators must be able to withstand equipment vibration and long hours of sitting<br>\u2022 Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely<br>\u2022 Observation skills<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job descriptionCrane operators\u2019 applicants should be able to control lifting machinery using buttons, levers, and pedals.
