Their goal is to enable the company\u2019s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company\u2019s objectives.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br>\u2022 Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.<br>\u2022 Manage the preparation of the company\u2019s budget<br>\u2022 Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.<br>\u2022 Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take<br>\u2022 Maintain the financial health of the organization.<br>\u2022 Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company\u2019s actual performance compared to the business plans.<br>\u2022 Develop trends and projections for the firm\u2019s finances.<br>\u2022 Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.<br>\u2022 Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.<br>\u2022 Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.<br><br><strong>Requirements and skills<\/strong><br>\u2022 BS\/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics<br>\u2022 Proven experience as a Financial Manager<br>\u2022 Professional qualification such as ACCA\/CPA or similar will be considered a plus<br>\u2022 Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst<br>\u2022 Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns<br>\u2022 Proficient user of finance software<br>\u2022 Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills<br>\u2022 Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used<br>\u2022 A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles<br>\u2022 Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mining work experience is a big PLUS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><br><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job descriptionCandidate will analyze every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans.
