{"id":502,"date":"2024-04-02T10:52:06","date_gmt":"2024-04-02T10:52:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/connectspace.co.tz\/res\/?p=502"},"modified":"2024-04-27T08:33:44","modified_gmt":"2024-04-27T08:33:44","slug":"accounting-clerk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/connectspace.co.tz\/res\/accounting-clerk\/","title":{"rendered":"Accounting Clerk"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to: <br><br><strong>Financial Accounting<\/strong><br>-Responsible for capturing monthly journals.<br>-Update cash book daily and reconciliation to be performed weekly\/monthly.<br>-Submit cash flow (daily and weekly).<br>-Monthly VAT return and reconciliation.<br>-Monthly reconciliation, maintenance, and documentation for all balance sheet general ledger accounts.<br>-Maintain fixed asset registers.<br>-Assist with annual budgets.<br>-Assist with various audits.<br>-Ad hoc requests.<br><br><strong>Manage Debtors<\/strong><br>-Accurate and correct billing and processing of invoices.<br>-Ensuring completeness and correctness of all documents required for billing and processing of invoices.<br>-Ensure invoices are updated daily as per agreed timetable.  <br>-Send invoices, credit notes and statements with supporting documents to customers timeously.<br>-Ensure statements are balanced and updated with payment. <br>-Communicate invoice queries and errors to customers and update relevant stakeholders. <br>-Manage the debtors age analysis.<br>-Provide precise and understandable debtors ageing comments.<br>-Follow up on outstanding balances and ensure that money is collected timeously.<br>-Ensure that COD accounts are followed up regularly for payment.<br>-Ensure that customers pay according to agreed terms.<br>-Accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.<br>-Ensure that internal and external customers are always informed of the status of all accounts.<br><br><strong>Manage Creditors <\/strong><br>-All invoices processed and reconciled to statements received from suppliers, <br>-no un-accrued invoices at month end <br>-All month end deadlines are met per the agreed timetable sent out monthly basis.<br>-Ensure that creditors age analysis is kept up to date with all long outstanding amounts followed up.<br>-Send all Interco balance creditor confirmations monthly to group companies.<br><br><strong>Qualification:<\/strong><br>-Matric \/Grade 12<br>-Degree in Accounting \/ Finance<br><br><strong>Experience:<\/strong><br>-A minimum of 2-3 years relevant working experience in logistics and or similar role <br>-Finance experience\/knowledge an advantage<br><br><strong>Required skills:<\/strong><br>-Able to work accurately &amp;
