The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><br><strong>Daily Tasks<\/strong><br>Record and reconcile daily transactions, sales, receipts, and expenses<br>Maintain and update the general ledger<br>Process and verify vendor invoices and staff reimbursements<br><br><strong>Weekly Tasks<\/strong><br>Prepare and process payments to suppliers and service providers<br>Assist in payroll preparation and reconciliation<br>Support financial reporting with relevant data and summaries<br><br><strong>Monthly &amp; Quarterly Tasks<\/strong><br>Reconcile bank and credit card statements<br>Prepare and submit tax filings (e.g., VAT, PAYE, withholding tax)<br>Generate financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets<br>Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly budgets and forecasts<br><br><strong>General Responsibilities<\/strong><br>Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies<br>Maintain organized and secure financial records<br>Support internal and external audits<br>Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and transparency<br><br><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/strong><br>Minimum Requirements:<br>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field<br>Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as an accountant or similar role<br>Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or Sage)<br>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices<br>Excellent analytical and numerical skills<br>Attention to detail and high level of accuracy<br>Strong organizational and time management abilities<br>Good communication skills (verbal and written)<br>Knowledge of TRA compliance and tax reporting (for Tanzania-based roles)<br><br><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><br>CPA or ACCA certification (or working towards it)<br>Experience in an Engineering firm is a PLUS.<br><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our organization.
