Role Purpose
The Senior Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily production operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves close coordination with supply chain functions to guarantee timely raw material availability and product delivery, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities to achieve set targets.
  • Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Optimize utilization of materials, manpower, and equipment to minimize costs and waste.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team on preventive maintenance scheduling.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise production staff, enhancing technical and leadership capacity.
  • Implement and monitor quality control systems to maintain product standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to align on raw materials, inventory, and deliveries.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present regular production reports and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Production Engineering (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and production planning.
  • Hands-on experience with process improvement frameworks (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
