The candidate will be responsible to deal with student’s academic performance, career development and school needs. The resource is also responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating programs designed to enhance student academic performance excellences as well as regular visiting student’s institutions to find out about their academic needs, discipline matters, concerns and dreams.

He/She will also act as a main linkage between students in Lake Zone and Dar es Salaam office to ensure all matters pertaining to grantees are well address timely and efficiently. The same will include grantees social interaction, grantee’s discipline issues, livelihood etc. so that they realize their future career goal.

Roles and responsibilities
· Ensure continuous follow up with students and identify their academic, discipline, medical and career matters.
· Visit students at schools and conduct sessions with both school management (Patron/Matron) and students to discuss different agendas that affect our students.
· Act as the main linkage between students, school/university/college management and families,
· Coordinate with the Lead Academic officer, ensure that all school payments invoices are timely obtained, processed and make sure that payment proofs/receipts are received and properly recorded in the individual student file for future records.
· Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies to students.
· Conduct industry search on career placement opportunities that exist in Tanzania.
· Prepare student’s profiles on education and livelihood development history and story writing to support management decision making.
· Provide Albinism awareness in academic institutions on low vision issues in order to improve their learning.
· Assess and monitor the usage and effectiveness of vision enhancement gadgets and protective gears to all students.
· Collect and evaluate academic performance reports from student’s institutions and filling the same in individual student personal file.
· Record and list students’ holidays and graduations as well as taking necessary initiatives.
· Ensure all students’ files and records related to student academics and benefits are properly kept and updated
· In collaboration with other stakeholders the resource will be responsible to plan, develop and participate on students’ recreation activities/events
· Coordinate all travel logistics for students during holiday and after holidays.
· In collaboration with Lead student academic officer, the resource will be responsible to advise and come up with strong strategies in academic section of school’s branches.
· To prepare regular reports (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual) pertain to Mwanza office operations as assigned by Line manager.
· To comply with all policies.
· To perform any other assignment assigned by line manager/high management authority

Education and Work Experience Requirements
· Diploma, Degree in Education, Social Work or equivalent;
· Passion for working with children and persons with disabilities and in particular persons with albinism;
· A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in the education sector with special need children.
