To oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery crucial to the day-day operations of the equipment and, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards are met. Coordinate technical staff and manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and increase productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities
Administration
-Record and track maintenance costs in line with budget.
-Provide direct manager with input for budget preparation.
-Reconcile and sign off all PO, WO, JC for final approval by Management,
-Sign off weekly/monthly stock takes and share report with admin supervisor and management.
-Ensure correct delivery of materials and parts are received physically and into FMS.
-Ensure all parts and consumables are allocated to the correct equipment as ordered and assigned in the FMS.
-Reconcile and sign off all quotations, PFI, and WO before month end. Raise any discrepancies with OEM/service providers before invoices are paid by finance.
-Follow-up on delivery schedules of parts and consumables.
-Request and arrange the release of funds with finance for ad-hoc repairs/breakdowns.
-Arrange and Manage fuel request for the technical vehicles.
-Negotiate with OEM & service providers on quotation prices.
-Ensure that all vehicle files are up to date and accurate by using the storage locations provided by the company in shared documents, systems storage.
-Monitor vehicle renewals related to vehicle insurance, 3rd party inspections and any other related renewals or inspections required in country.
-Ad-hoc functions as and when required by direct manager.
-Equipment maintenance & repair schedules.
-Minimize down time.
Communication with all parties involve (clients, OEM, management, and staff)

Technical & Maintenance
-Provide technical guidance and support to workshop staff.
-Supervise equipment maintenance schedules.
-Troubleshoot equipment issues and breakdowns, share corrective plan of action with the mechanical team. This will include all communications with all other divisions within the company and communication to be shared with all parties involve on vehicle repair status and outcome.
-Actively use the company fleet management system (FMS) & tracking system to ensure all maintenance and repairs are recorded, as either job cards, preventative maintenance, or travel cards.
-Ensure all workshop staff that has access to the company FMS use and utilizing the systems as and when required.
-Maintain planned vehicle services completion within the specified period.
-From time to time fill in for the technicians on repair or service of equipment when they are not available.

Making use of internal systems to extract required data to generate reports (FMS)

Qualifications & Experience
-Minimum ten year ‘s experience in the heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair industry, with five of these years in a Supervisory role
-N3TC – Qualified Diesel Mechanic
-Above average knowledge of MS Office
-Valid EC license
-Verbal and written communication skills
