Job Description
Responsibilities:
1.Weighing Operations:
-Oversee and execute the weighing process of vehicles, containers, and goods on the weighbridge in compliance with established procedures.
-Ensure accurate and timely recording of weight measurements and relevant information.
2.Documentation:
-Record and maintain detailed and precise information on weighbridge tickets, invoices, and receipts.
-Collaborate with the operations team to ensure proper documentation for all weighed shipments.
3.Communication:
-Interact with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide information about the weighing process.
-Address inquiries, concerns, and discrepancies promptly and professionally.
4.Quality Control:
-Monitor the functionality of the weighbridge equipment, report any issues, and ensure timely maintenance.
-Conduct regular checks to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of weight measurements.
5.Compliance:
-Ensure all weighing operations adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
-Work closely with regulatory bodies to stay informed about changes in standards and compliance.
6.Reporting:
-Generate and maintain reports on weight measurements, transactions, and related data as required by the organization and regulatory authorities.
-Provide regular updates to the Operations Superintendent on weighbridge activities.
7.Customer Service:
-Provide excellent customer service to drivers and clients, addressing their needs and concerns during the weighing process.
8.Team Collaboration:
-Collaborate with other departments, especially operations, to facilitate smooth coordination of activities related to weighing operations.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics or transportation.
-Familiarity with weighbridge operations, equipment, and relevant regulations.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work irregular hours based on the vessels’ schedule.
-Proficiency in using weighbridge software and basic computer skills.
-Knowledge of health and safety practices related to weighbridge operations.
